My newest obsession these days is finding “Me Time”. Working over 50 hours a week to return to cooking, cleaning, and laundry on the homefront doesn’t allow me much time to sit back and relax. Pampering would be nice and what if it could be done at home? I’m sure you could imagine my excitement when I met a BeautiControl Spa Consultant the other day who will actually come to you and show you spa products that can be used in your own home. It’s an awesome chance to catch up with friends, relax, and revitalize without having to leave home. It’s all the fun of group parties with pampering and spa  focused product.

And because I very rarely do anything without thinking about business and clients in the back of my mind, I couldn’t help but think when talking with Rachael that this would be an awesome Bacholerette-type Party. A chance for friends preparing for the most fantastic day of a life to stop all the rushing and planning and just relax.  I can imagine the possibilities, making it a special evening the week before the wedding, planned right before that last sprint of activities. Getting together with moms, sisters, and friends for a little “me” time. It sounds great!

If you haven’t heard of the TAWP here in Tallahassee, I strongly suggest that you check out the Tallahassee Association of Wedding Professionals website – www.tawp.org. We are an association of proven quality bridal and wedding specialized vendors ready to help you with your wedding in any way we can. The association has a member meeting at least once a month and I’m always so excited with the new information I leave each meeting with.

Today, Karin from Adventures in Travel (AiT) was our member speaker. Some interesting things about travel agents that Karin touched on today were

1. AiT doesn’t charge for their knowledge. Their goal is to help you plan your trip to an exciting, safe, and clean location.

2. AiT is able to give you trusted detailed information that you might not receive from an on-line website. Through talking with you, Karin can better assess what your likes and dislikes are and which location and hotel room will suit your needs.

3. AiT agents are well-trained and researched on all available locations throughout the world. If Karin doesn’t know about a place when you come in (and that would be a rare occurence), she will become an expert and learn everything that is possible to know from that moment on.

4. AiT continues to give you the best value for your trip. If a better deal or savings comes up during the planning, you will know about it and be able to utilize the savings.

5. (And this is my own personal point) AiT is there with you throughout the entire trip. At any time, if you need assistance during your vacation Karin will know how to get you back on schedule. You won’t get that from a website.
