It is very possible, I might be creating a little “ham”. It turns out my nephew Daniel loves seeing himself on camera screen. We found this out yesterday during our interview about men’s formal wear on WCTV. Daniel had a ball running around the set and seeing all the new stuff. But when he saw himself on the TV screen, he just couldn’t stop grinning.
I had a great time too! To the side of the platform that the men modeled on, Angela and I discussed different trends in men’s formal wear including colors, styles, and little boy’s eton suits. We’ve made the news! And not in the way people always use to say I would. Growing up, there was some speculation that one of my crazy stunts would land me on the evening news, but this happened totally by chance.
Last month, Angela Howard contacted me about coming for an interview to discuss men’s formal wear during their Trendy Tuesday segment. Of course, I said yes. So this afternoon during the 5pm news, I accompanied by 3 handsome male models will be presenting what is popular and great in men’s formal wear for the fall and coming spring.

I’ve got a store full of fantastic stuff this morning. Several brides have brought out their gently used wedding inventory in hopes of selling it to you today! For the past 5 and half years, I been working with brides and their families to create, alter, and care for their beautiful dresses. Last year, I expanded my business to include Vows Tuxedo. I enjoy working with the men and making sure that the groom receives the same quality and friendly services that brides have enjoyed.
For this past year, I’ve been trying to decide just how connected will the two businesses be. They are housed in the same studio, just on different floors. Each business takes up a good portion of my days. I’m often marketing one with the other at bridal shows and magazine advertisements. I’ve even taken to printing business cards double side with one side Vows and the other Hayley Lauren Couture.
Though I still will stand by my original conviction that just because you’re getting a dress altered through Hayley Lauren doesn’t mean that you must also rent tuxedos and vice versa. However, I think it would be nice to have a sort of “Thank You” to the couples that support both businesses. So, from this date forward.
If you bring your dress for alterations or creation, I will give you $10 off every tuxedo rental for your wedding.
Or if you rent your tuxedos through us and later decide to bring your dress for alterations, I will give you 10% off the alteration fees.
These discounts can be added to the always available FREE Groom’s tuxedo after 5 rentals, but can not be added to additional gift certificates and special discounts. Instead, we will sit down and figure out which will be most beneficial to you and your party.
Please don’t consider it mandatory to bring your dress when you rent tuxedos or rent tuxedos when you bring your dress. But if you want to, I would love to work both aspects of your bridal attire needs and would like to say “Thank You”.

Today, I worked with the fantastic Judge Cochran Photography and the gorgeous Bre at Maclay Gardens. Well, mostly I brought out the dresses and the watched Judge and Bre do the work. My part in it all this was before hand in actually making the gowns.
The weather was perfect and the shoot was fantastic. We started with a traditional bride & flowergirl and finished with Bre in a glamorous black and white gown. Some poses included jumping in the air and doing cartwheels in a full hoops skirt. Those are the ones Judge got. I took candid shots while he scouting out new back drops.
